As quietly as Norah Jones' breakthrough album Come Away With Me (2002) was released at the time, so high are the expectations for her third album Not Too Late. All overworked attention is in stark contrast to her humble personality and introverted songs. It is admirable that, even after the enormous success, Norah Jones has quietly continued to chart her own path. From a jazzy nightclub singer she
… has developed into an all-round singer / songwriter, who increasingly packages her songs in rootsy arrangements. Every now and then you can still hear the influences of the singers who formed Jones, such as Joni Mitchell and Billie Holiday. But in the meantime Norah Jones has become above all a point of reference herself, with a style that sounds so natural that it is sometimes dismissed as 'middle of the road'. She should take it as a compliment. The bonus DVD for this version of Not Too Late contains three video clips, an interview, behind the scenes look at the making of the video clip and two live bonus tracks. (MS)more
