He once put himself on the map as guitarist of the Quadraphonics, but Thomas Dybdahl is now ready for his sixth solo album. This time, sympathetic Noor experimented less than on the previous album , which makes this record more accessible to a wider audience. In fact What's Left Is Forever is an extensive mix of all his previous albums, only it is all a bit better and within the lines. But Dybdahl's
… versatility comes out beautifully on this record. One moment he sounds subdued and vulnerable on songs Shine and Man On A Whire and then suddenly surprisingly bombastic and almost intimidating with a cacophony of indefinable sounds in, for example, Running On Fumes. What's Left Is Forever is a special album that needs a few listens to discover its true beauty. And that turns out to be in abundance. (BvdV)more
