The tour that U2 undertook as a result of the album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb was even more successful than the previous tours. During two evenings (9 and 10 May 2005) in Chicago, the recordings that form the basis for this DVD were shot. After all these years, U2 knows exactly how to build a show of more than two hours. At the beginning of the concert the show elements are limited, slowly
… the light effects and video images become more spectacular. You can't help but admire this band that has been active in this line-up for almost three decades. It never collapses, during the entire concert the music is inspired but concentrated, with the stoic rhythm section (Clayton, Mullen and The Edge) fully dedicated to the charismatic singer Bono. Who also now several times draws attention to poverty in the world ('make poverty history'), in anticipation of the event that would take place two months later: Live 8. You can say what you want about the man, but not that his band is suffering under his constant urge to want to improve the world. U2 is better than ever in 2005 and this DVD is proof. (MS)more
