It can be strange with a band. Nickelback dabbled in the Canadian and American theater circuit for years, until single How You Remind Me became a big hit and the associated album Silver Side Up sold millions of copies. Suddenly the band belonged to the big boys. A role that was relatively easy for Nickelback, given the strong live performances. The successor The Long Road is not disappointing. This
… album is again full of dynamic, solid grunge rock, nowadays also called AOR (Adult Oriented Rock). The powerful voice of singer / guitarist Chad Kroeger and the smooth playing of the rest of the band are a feast for the ear. The Long Road contains at least as many good songs as Silver Side Up and easily equals that record. With The Long Road, Nickelback has another record that is crying out to be translated to the stage.
