Little Barrie is the three-piece band around guitarist and singer Barrie Cadogan. The band relies heavily on the sound of the early 1970s, when the Stones are at their peak, the funk is still alive and well and the glam rock of T-Rex is on the rise. Barrie is a gifted guitarist who gets a fierce and exciting sound from his instrument. It is not without reason that he was asked to be a substitute
… guitarist with Morrissey's band. His passion for guitar playing inspired producer Edwyn Collins to take his guitar out of the mothballs to play with in this computer age. He also provided an authentic sound, with which he managed to bring the rock of the seventies back to life. We Are Little Barrie is not a successful debut in every way, the songs are too weak for that. But live - as headliner or as support act for Paul Weller - Little Barrie will certainly be able to do better justice. (MS)more
