Fractured Life, Air Traffic's debut, sounds decidedly British. The sound of this foursome from the seaside town of Bournemouth is reminiscent of many of their musical countrymen, but is clearly in the corner of the Radiohead / Coldplay inspired bands. The most striking element in Air Traffic's music is the prominent place that the piano has been given. But the guitars that are also present, which
… provide a somewhat firmer character, stand in the way of a direct comparison with Keane. Fractured Life was produced by David Kosten (known for his project Faultline) and contains a large number of potential hits. Whether it's the freshly rocking Charlotte or the pathetic piano ballad Empty Space (where Muse clearly comes into play), Air Traffic can handle it all. These capacities brought the band to the stages of Parkpop and Rock Werchter back in 2007, and many a debutant would love to be there. (IV)more
