The Netherlands' biggest rock band almost threw in the towel in the early 1980s. However, the
Cut (1982) and the single Twilight Zone were so successful that Golden Earring was able to tour America again. The American success was short-lived, however, and from then on began their "never ending tour" of Dutch halls, venues and theaters until it ended in early 2020. In 1984, a concert was recorded
… for an MTV broadcast by film and clip director Dick Maas. A great performance, the band just returned from America was in blood form. Parts of the concert appeared that same year on Something Heavy Going Down: Live From The Twilight Zone. Back Home contains the recordings of the full concert and an additional DVD with Maas' film footage. It ranks among Golden Earring's best live recordings. With unprecedented energy, the resurrected Golden Earring gives a smashing concert here. (MR)more
