Composer Burt Bacharach, together with lyricist Hal David, was a successful writer stand that accounted for about 25 top ten hits in the 60s and 70s. Partly due to Bacharach's collaboration in 1998 on Elvis Costello's album Painted From Memory, he experienced a true revival. … TNT. As with so many of these 'tributes', not all songs come out well. Low point is Mike Myers' irritating rendition of What's New Pussycat. Special is Ben Folds Five's own interpretation of Raindrops Keep Fallin 'On My Head. Fortunately, through beautiful performances of One Less Bell To Answer by Sheryl Crow, Always Something There To Remind Me by All Saints, Anyone Who Had A Heart by Wynonna, God Give Me Strength by Elvis Costello and a medley of hit songs by Dionne Warwick much to enjoy.
