Four lively young guys from rock capital The Hague who write guitar songs that you whistle along after two times. Call it beat, sixties rock or Britpop: the good listener knows exactly what is meant. Nice three-minute rock songs with the sun high in the head. The title of the first single Aaaaah covers the load very well: uplifting, cheerful music that makes young and old shout 'aaaaah' with all
… your heart. 3FM promptly promoted the song to 3FM Megahit. The other twelve can certainly be heard too. Sure, sometimes Taymir gives an emphatic wink to The Beatles, but their songs are, as said, jammed together. And thanks to the choirs, it will never get boring. It must be strange if Taymir does not cause the same excitement that Fatal Flowers, Voicst and (more recently) Mozes & The Firstborn managed to summon. Home-grown guitar rock doesn't sound much better than this in 2013. (PdK)more
