A virtuoso guitarist, a gifted singer and a talented songwriter: John Mayer is it all. In addition, the young American can handle various genres, from rock and funk to blues and folk. This beautifully shot film shows him in various capacities, as a solo artist, in a trio and with a full band. Especially the trio line-up (with drummer Steve Jordan and bass player Pino Palladino) surprises, with a

But however he plays, the ease and nonchalance remains the same. The only thing you could find fault with is the lack of showmanship of the always-worn jeans and T-shirt, Mayer. The music has to work, and luckily it does. (MS)more
